DETAILS from the AMP action: Two officers arrested! Here’s what they are accused of

The Police Supervision Agency has launched investigations regarding the phenomenon of unauthorized construction in Saranda and Ksamil.

The focus of the investigations is to verify the role and responsibility of police officers in allowing or failing to prevent these illegal constructions, while two officers have been arrested so far. The AMP’s move comes after two cases were identified in the area in recent days.

In one case, the Prosecution seized the floor of a hotel built without a permit, while in another case, on a beach in Ksamil, 8 workers were arrested for carrying out illegal work.

Preliminary sources indicate that the investigations will also focus on the actions or inactions of the police structures responsible for controlling the territory, to verify whether there was tolerance or involvement in these cases.
