“Edi Rama, you traitor, resign as soon as possible”, citizens occupy the streets of Tirana

The streets of Tirana have been taken over by citizens in today’s protest. With chants of “Edi Rama the traitor, resign as soon as possible”, protesters have marched from the Prime Minister’s Office in several directions of the capital towards the Parliament and “Ali Demi”.

The massive rally in the capital has taken a new turn.

After leaving behind the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard and the “ocean” of people that stretched to “Skënderbej” Square, the protesters have marched en masse through the streets of Tirana and have just arrived in front of the Albanian Parliament building.

During the march in front of the legislative institution, loud and unanimous cheers can be heard from the revolted crowd, which has erupted in choruses: “Parliament of crime! Parliament of crime!”.

This movement comes as another strong message from citizens, who, after previous symbolic performances demanding the imprisonment of political leaders regardless of party, have now targeted the building where the country’s laws are passed.
