Journalist Anila Hoxha stated in “Top Story” what Ervis Martinaj’s father, Mustafa Martinaj, has stated before the court about his son.
As he revealed the details, Hoxha said that Martinaj’s father defended his assets before the court today, also showing the work he has done over the years.
Mustafa Martinaj has stated that in ’97 his financial opportunities were very good, while adding that he sent his son to study in Italy because he was an excellent student. “Martij’s family has voted in the local court a civil petition, where they request that their son be declared missing, which will then lead to his deregistration in the registers of living persons. But in any case, it is difficult to escape the property investigation because first of all the pre-packaged seizures have been left in force by all three levels of the judiciary. This is a financial investigation and above all what the prosecution seeks to prove before the court is the fact that all these assets are linked to suspected criminal activities. The first thing we can say, I am saying this because Ervis Martinaj’s father has not spoken to the media for long, he has preferred to express short phrases, where he indicates that his son is no longer alive, that justice must work, and that he has left it to justice to investigate and that the authorities must find him and that they know where Ervis Martinaj is, according to them the deceased. This is Mustafa Martinaj’s position.
In addition to defending his son, in today’s trial he has defended and justified his assets before the courts. He insists on telling the court that he has had the income over the years, from ’97 onwards, he has shown how he started working in the field of economics and finance, and says that in difficult times he traveled with 800 thousand euros in cash in his vehicle, during the gang era, while adding that he had no problems.
“So he tried to argue that he had capital and wealth, to the point that he sent his son, despite being on a scholarship, to study in Italy, because according to him he was an excellent student. This is how he shows, as he refers to bank receipts, that he had the opportunity to buy luxury cars for his daughters and his son who had returned to Tirana after interrupting his studies,” said Hoxha.
