Iran attacks Israel with missiles and closes airspace, Tel Aviv reacts strongly

Tensions in the Middle East have risen again after Iran fired missiles into Israel, marking the first attack since a ceasefire agreed in April. According to the Israeli military, the missiles were initially aimed from the north of the country, while alarm sirens were activated in several areas.

Israeli authorities announced that air defense systems managed to intercept several ballistic missiles, while other launches were later identified.

So far, no casualties or significant damage have been reported. International media reports also speak of Iranian strikes in the Tel Aviv area.

Following the attack, Iran ordered the closure of its airspace, while several civilian flights were diverted or canceled. Tehran had earlier warned it would respond to an Israeli airstrike on the southern outskirts of Beirut, which killed two people and wounded at least 11 others.

Meanwhile, Israel has suspended school activity across the country and imposed restrictions on public gatherings.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reacted sharply after the attack, writing on social media: “Tonight Tehran must burn.” According to American media, US President Donald Trump has also been informed of the latest developments.
