Doctor Mereme Sele has filed a request with the Court of First Instance, requesting the suspension of the May 23 elections for the leader of the Democratic Party.
In her lawsuit, Sele has opposed the conduct of the electoral process within the DP and has sued former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, linking this issue to the organization of the elections.
The request submitted to the court will be reviewed by the institution to decide whether or not to accept the suspension of the elections.
The elections for the leader of the Democratic Party are scheduled to be held on May 23.
