The reaction came after questions were asked about the seizure by SPAK of the villa in Dhërmi suspected to be owned by the former deputy prime minister.
Berisha also spoke about the massive citizen protest for Zvërnec, where he declared his support for it, but added that the DP is not participating in the process.
Regarding the citizens’ protest against the destruction being done to the Zvërnec protected area with the new government project, he said: “Our position is support for the right of every citizen to any protest. That protest is not called by the DP and there is no call to support it from the DP. Our position is full respect for the protest and we cannot take any step that could create a statement of any kind. We have emphasized that free citizens have the right to protest for anything they deem reasonable. The DP has its own protest agenda and when it calls for a protest, it is open to all those who want to get involved.”
