The father of one of the two minor girls who tragically lost their lives on the coast of Tale has spoken for the first time, in an event that shocked the entire public opinion.
Amidst the great pain of losing his daughter, he recounted the last moments before the tragedy, revealing that his daughter had insisted on going to the beach with her family that day.
“My daughter begged me a lot that day to go. I had never let her go to the sea before, it was the first time,” he said on the show “With an Open Heart,” while further confessing that at the time the incident occurred, he was in the city of Durrës and that his family had not immediately given him the terrible news.
“When the incident happened, I was in Durrës. They informed me that the girls were not well. The girls had entered the sea without telling anyone. The aunt of one of them was there, while my sister-in-law was with her husband,” he recounts.
Two cousins, Jonida Dajlani, 9, and Adelajda Misha, 11, lost their lives on the afternoon of June 19 at Tale Beach after they went into the sea to bathe. According to family members, the girls had entered the water without informing adults, while strong waves made it impossible for them to reach the shore.
