On the 16th day of the protest that has already been christened by the citizens themselves as the “Flamingo Revolution”, the names of the three initiators of this civic movement have been revealed for the first time. A protest that was born without declared leaders, without political structures and without concrete names at the top, has now publicly revealed three of the people who will be at the helm of its organization.
It was activist Alben Kola himself who announced the names of the three initiators who, according to him, are now officially recognized by the authorities. They are Luçiana Kokaj from Rrjolli, Alben Kola from Kukës and Arlinda Lleshi from Lezha.
Their appearance with their first and last names marks a new moment for the protest, which from day one has been identified as a spontaneous and civic reaction, without personalized figures at its center. However, despite the identification of the initiators, the organizers have insisted that the movement remains a protest of citizens and for citizens.
“The march was organized by the young people themselves, but from today we will also take care of it to avoid last night’s incidents. There will be no more marches outside the ‘Ring’,” said activist Kola, appealing for unity and calm during the march and demanding that the incidents recorded the night before, where a crowd of protesters headed towards Rinas, not be repeated.
