Greek police have arrested two men, aged 68 and 72, after they allegedly abandoned a 72-year-old man who lost his life during an attempt to steal electrical wires from a transformer in Agios Stefanos.
The incident was discovered on Saturday afternoon, when DIAS team officers found the 72-year-old’s body in the back seat of a vehicle parked in the Ano Liosia area. The victim had injuries to his head and body.
According to police investigations, the night before, the 72-year-old had gone with the two arrested to Agios Stefanos to steal cables from an electrical transformer. While they were carrying out the theft, he was allegedly electrocuted and fell from a height to the ground.
His two accomplices allegedly put him in a vehicle and then abandoned him in Ano Liosia, where he was found dead.
The Greek police announced that the two arrested were detained on the morning of August 4, 2026 by the Department of Investigation and Detection of Crimes in Western Attica. They were sent before the prosecutor for further proceedings./vizionplus.tv ©acnevulgaristreatments.com
