Noel didn’t make it! The little one, who had dreams of becoming a great footballer, was unable to overcome the serious illness, a brain tumor, which he fought with for months and months.
The 15-year-old, who was also a footballer for Apolonia of Fier, lost his life, leaving his parents, his sister Anja, and all those family members, friends and teammates who loved him and who hoped until the end for his recovery in great pain.
Everyone came together for Noel. A year ago, an appeal made on social media to offer him the opportunity to be treated abroad brought Albanians together everywhere. But, despite the efforts of family members, Albanians, little Noel himself, and doctors, the tumor proved ruthless, taking the life of a young boy who had big dreams and desires ahead of him.
The sad news of this loss was given by Noel’s father, who, through the pain that is tearing his chest, has shared with his followers this terrible loss, the loss of his son forever.
“It is with deep sadness and great pain that we announce that today our dear son Noel Cura passed away. May you be unforgettable, My Son!” he writes.
Noel fought until the end. A little boy, with big dreams, who once ran after the ball and dreamed of becoming a great footballer, today will never be able to step on the green field again. The disease took his life, but it cannot take away the memories, the smile and the love he left behind for all those who knew him.
Tomorrow will be even more painful for Noel’s family, but also for all those who joined in prayers and hopes for him. The 15-year-old will be escorted to his final resting place, the Fier cemetery, where family, friends, teammates and all those who loved him will bid him a final farewell.
