An elderly man, who said he has worked as a teacher for 45 years, said he receives a pension that is not at all sufficient to meet basic needs.
From Skanderbeg Square, he declared that corrupt officials receive more than he who has worked for so many years as a teacher, while adding that they have lost their minds over money.
“I have been a teacher for 45 years. I have also distinguished myself as a teacher. But just as I worked during Enver’s time, so I worked in democracy. My salary was 7 thousand lek back then. Today, these corrupt government officials earn 100 times my salary. Why does this happen? Money has taken over their minds,” he said.
