Albania is burning from fires/ Balla wastes no time in finding the culprit: They are not from God…

After the large fire that engulfed the Daiasi area in Tirana on Wednesday afternoon, where two Air Force helicopters were also deployed to help bring the flames under control, the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, reacted in the evening.

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group responded on social media to criticisms about the deployment of aerial vehicles, clarifying to followers that all structures are on the ground, air and ground, to deal with the fires, and at the same time calling for arsonists to be held criminally liable.

“Where are the planes? Where are the planes? On the ground there are planes, helicopters, new and old fire engines, firefighters and armed forces. In the capital of Tirana alone there are currently four fires: Priskë, Daias, Surrel, Gurrë. These are not fires from God, but from a slave. Intentional fires. Those who start fires should know that arson is a serious criminal offense and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison!” he writes.

On Wednesday afternoon, the fire in Daias spread rapidly due to strong winds, making the work of firefighting forces difficult and at times endangering the field staff. Two Air Force helicopters are also involved in the operation.
