Starting this Friday, our country will be under the influence of humid and cooler air masses.
According to the Military Meteorological Service, occasional cloudiness is expected in the center and south of the country, including the hilly and mountainous areas of the capital, where several fires are still active.
“Cloudiness will be accompanied by low-intensity rainfall, mainly in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gjirokastër, Berat and Korça. In Korça, rainfall will also be in the form of thunderstorms,” said weather forecaster Elvi Jahaj.
In Tirana and Elbasan, rainfall will be occasional and of low intensity. Even at the weekend, the country will be under the influence of cooler and wetter air masses.
The unstable weather will continue throughout the weekend, while on Tuesday, rain and thunderstorms will cover the entire country, according to forecasters, and as a result, we will leave behind the scorching heat, to return to the average temperatures of August.
“On Tuesday afternoon, rainfall will cover the entire territory. Occasionally, it will be in the form of thunderstorms. From values of 40-41 degrees Celsius, at noon temperatures will be 35-36 degrees Celsius. We will have a drop in temperatures even in the minimum values.”
Even the wind, a factor in the spread of flames in areas affected by fires, is expected to decrease in intensity over the coming days, not exceeding a speed of 10-12 meters per second./Top Channel
