The flames in Lura have gotten out of control and are endangering homes and residential areas. Since the early hours of this morning, over 170 forces have been engaged in the field to extinguish the fire.
Employees of the Dibër Municipality, employees of protected areas, army forces and the Police are participating in the operation.
Two aircraft have also arrived to assist in the operation, intervening from the air to contain the spread of the flames.
It is suspected that the fires may be intentional, as several fires have been identified in different areas. Due to the aggravated situation, an ambulance with medical staff has been stationed in Lura since yesterday.
Meanwhile, one person was injured as a result of smoke inhalation and received medical attention at the hospital.
The situation in Lura remains critical, while forces engaged on the ground are continuing their efforts to bring the flames under control.
