One of the protesters who addressed the citizens from the protest square requested the intervention of the US State Department against Albanian politicians, focusing particularly on Prime Minister Edi Rama and the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla.
The protester accused them of misgovernment and stated that the politicians responsible should face sanctions, while calling on the American ambassador and the State Department to declare them “persona non grata.”
“Rama has trampled the blood of martyrs together with Taulant Balla. I appeal to Edi Rama that Vučić is poisoning Albania. He has left hundreds of thousands of hectares of land fallow and Vučić is selling wheat and flour in Myzeqe. This is scandalous. The American ambassador and the State Department should make politicians non gata indefinitely until every penny is taken from them. Taulant Balla and his family should be made non grata ,” he said.
