Just a few days after the two-day meetings in Pogradec, Prime Minister Edi Rama has called for another meeting of ministers and political leaders of the regions. It is learned that this time, the meeting will take place at the headquarters of the Socialist Party in Tirana, on Friday at 17:30. The meeting follows the discussions held in Pogradec, where Rama focused on the need for a new approach by the government and the Socialist Party towards the problems of citizens.
The Prime Minister has asked ministers to monitor the work of their subordinate directorates every month, while political leaders have been asked to have a greater presence on the ground and more direct contact with citizens. This approach has also been concretized through two documents presented by the Socialist Party, “Besa” and “Prania Besnike”.
Another element of the discussions in Pogradec was the “Pasqyrë Albania” platform, which aims to collect, monitor and follow up on citizens’ complaints.
According to the project, issues should be answered within two weeks, while citizens will be able to track in real time which institution their request is in.
The platform envisages functioning through two mechanisms: “Flamingo Albania”, which will serve to collect complaints and concerns, and “Radar”, to track their treatment by ministries, municipalities and other institutions.
During the meetings in Pogradec, the ministers also presented an analysis of the work of the sectors they lead and the priorities for the coming period.
Friday’s meeting will serve as a continuation of this process, with a focus on implementing the decisions made and strengthening the presence of the government and SP structures on the ground.
