A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Rrogozhina, after allegedly threatening to kill a 35-year-old man, while during a search of his apartment, a Kalashnikov firearm and ammunition were found and seized.
As part of Operation “Prevent 2”, citizen AI, 26 years old, resident of Peqin, was arrested for the criminal offenses “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Threat”. OT, 21 years old, resident of Peqin, was also arrested, suspected of the criminal offense “Failure to report a crime”.
“Around 01:00, on 13.09.2026, the Police services received information that a citizen was threatening a 35-year-old man with a firearm, for weak motives. Immediately after receiving the information, work was organized, locating the apartment where citizens AI and OT were located.
During the search of the apartment where these citizens were, a Kalashnikov-type firearm and ammunition were found and seized as material evidence. Citizen AI, for weak motives, had threatened to kill citizen AS, 35 years old, from Tirana, who was going to the apartment of a 36-year-old woman, where two citizens AI and O. T were located, the police statement said.
Following the procedural actions, after consultation with the Prosecutor, criminal proceedings were initiated at large, for the criminal offense of “Failure to report a crime”, against the 36-year-old resident of Rrogozhina, who was not in the apartment when the conflict between the two citizens occurred.

The services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Rrogozhina Police Station, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed “Prevent 2”.
As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
AI, 26 years old, resident of Peqin, for the criminal offenses of “Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Threat”;
OT, 21 years old, resident of Peqin, for the criminal offense of “Failure to report a crime”.
