Edi Rama’s meeting in Berat, held within the framework of discussions on Territorial Reform, was accompanied by debates between the head of government and representatives of Poliçan.
According to the records, the meeting began with a presentation by the Minister of Local Government, Ervin Demo. After Demo’s speech, the residents of Poliçan stood up to discuss and raise their concerns, but were faced with a harsh reaction from Rama, who addressed them with the phrase “Shut up your mouths.”
This statement immediately angered those present, provoking a tense verbal debate between Prime Minister Rama, the mayor of Poliçan Adriatik Zotkaj, and actress Egla Ceno.
In protest against the approach of the head of government, the entire delegation from Poliçan boycotted the meeting and left the hall.
