The brother of former footballer Igli Tare, Genti Tare, intervened through a telephone connection on the “Top Story” show, where the Belinda Balluku file and his brother’s involvement in it were being discussed.
During his intervention, Genti Tare clashed with the leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, accusing him of using “half-truths” that could harm the people being talked about.
To illustrate his argument, Tare brought up several allegations to Shehaj that, according to him, could be used in the same way against the leader of the Opportunity Party.
“Here, let me use a half-truth on you, and see how it burns you. You were a partner with Ilir Beleri in the villa complex in Petrela. You were accused by the opposition of giving a villa to Erion Veliaj,” said Genti Tare.
He further added that with the same logic, allegations could also be raised about Shehaj’s professional relationships.
“It’s like taking a half-truth and saying that Agron Shehaj is corrupt, he also had Endri Fuga’s wife at work, and he also gave a villa to Erion Veliaj,” he said.
Genti Tare argued that such an approach, according to him, is also being used against his brother, Igli Tare, warning that the damage to a person’s image can remain even if he later proves innocent.
“Igli Tare is being slandered and when he is found innocent, he is no longer worth anything ,” concluded Genti Tare.
