Eight years after the disappearance of 24-year-old Elvis Troqe, the Vlora Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction has officially declared the young man missing.
The decision was taken on June 15, 2026 and has now been published in the Official Gazette.
In the court’s decision, Elvis Troqe’s mother, Marsela Troqe, has been appointed guardian for the administration of her son’s movable and immovable assets. Elvis Troqe lost contact with his family on the evening of July 17, 2018.
At the time, the 24-year-old had just returned from Italy, where he had completed a sentence for drug trafficking.
On the evening of his disappearance, the young man left the apartment, telling his family that he had a surprise.
He had said that he had met a girl and that he wanted to get engaged to her.
According to data made public during the investigation, Elvis Troqe was seen on the main road, where a gray Mercedes-Benz vehicle was waiting for him.
The young man reportedly greeted the driver and then got into the vehicle, where two other people were also present. After this moment, the 24-year-old’s traces were lost.
The case raised suspicions that it was more than just an ordinary departure.
During the investigation, elements were found that led to suspicion of the criminal offense of kidnapping.
Several actions were carried out as part of the investigation, including searches at Inez Hajrulla’s apartment. He denied knowing Elvis Troqen and said that he had gone for physiotherapy that afternoon.
Eight years after his disappearance, the court’s decision officially declares Elvis Troqen missing, while family members continue to be left without an answer about the 24-year-old’s fate.
