Lawyer Arben Llangozi has issued serious accusations regarding the government’s ties to organized crime. According to Llangozi, there is information that deserves verification, according to which Prime Minister Edi Rama, after a ceremony in Durrës, had lunch with Ergys Agas, a person who according to him was wanted. In an interview for “NTV Televizione”, he stated that what makes the situation more scandalous is the fact that this lunch took place under the protection of the chief of the police station and the Guard of the Republic. Llangozi also states that a dangerous trinity is now operating in Albania, consisting of the prosecution, the government and crime.
According to his accusations, this collaboration has caused the system to fail, claiming that it is organized crime that chooses and decides who will become MPs, ministers or police directors. He describes this situation as the end of Albania, where the prime minister sits “cross-legged with crime” while the justice institutions fail to act. Asked by the journalist what the seizure of files from SPAK to the office of the National Council of Territories (KKT) could produce as a story until the end, Llangozi initially stated that this action will not produce anything. According to him, the Special Prosecution is continuing a “selective defense” of the government, noting that in nine years of SPAK, not a single construction permit granted by the Prime Minister has been investigated, but only Vangjush Dako has been convicted.

“I believe that the Special Prosecution will continue the selective protection it provides to the government. The seizure of a document, a file, is done at the moment when an irregularity is seen in that file. And if there were irregularities, who gave these permits? The Prime Minister gave them. This is what I have often said: Why is the Prime Minister not being investigated for these permits he has given? Has he been investigated for any permits? How many years has SPAK been in this… it is completing nine years, its mandate is ending and we have not seen a construction permit investigated for the person who gave it. Only Vangjush Dako has been convicted for a permit he had given in violation of the law, no one else.
Are these permits, these projects so regular? We have projects that are simply imaginary. The work was done, then the project was done; the documents were made only fictitious to be in the file. So we have a connected trinomial: we now have the connection of the prosecution, the government and crime. We have organized crime that elects and appoints deputies, elects and appoints ministers, appoints police directors and we cannot expect to have a prosecutor who went and seized a permit and what? Nothing will be done. From the information that I have that deserves verification, it turns out that the prime minister, at a ceremony that was in Durrës, went and had lunch with Ergys Agas after the ceremony, guarded by the chief of the police station and the Republic Guard. So this is our state that is connected to the crime that we commit, we sit cross-legged.
Del Gjiknuri says: “no, the trial is continuing, there is no problem”. Yes, the Special Prosecution Office must give an explanation that it wrote a sentence there, it says that it was a representative of the Albanian government in Aruba. But who was it? Why doesn’t it give it? Why isn’t it being investigated? Where are these bosses who aren’t investigating? Why is the prime minister having lunch with Agas when he was a wanted person? Instead of being arrested, he is having lunch with the prime minister. Do you understand where we are? Our country is over with this prime minister who uses poor people for propaganda and sits cross-legged with organized crime. Albania is over. And if Europe is what is being served to us, that we are walking ahead with our money, that we see every day, you leave the house alive and you don’t know whether you will return or not, because there is a source of accidents every time.
We have roads that are killers. This is not Europe. We know very well how a state system in Europe functions and is managed. And if the state system is like in Albania, then I don’t know. I also saw this blunder he made, I don’t know whether people really believe it: he came out and said that we will make “Diella” to fight corruption in Germany. Is he delirious or is it a hoax? Because I don’t understand this. What kind of state do we have, you know? What kind of state! You have to give a German state a lesson on how to fight corruption with the “Diella” of the prime minister who bought it for 500 euros on the internet and made a tender for 500 million euros!
