How much wealth has Edi Rama declared? Apartments, house in Surrel, bank accounts and income of the Rama family in a complete file
Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared his and his family’s assets, income and financial liabilities to the HIDAA over the years. The 2026 data published on the “Money and Power” platform shows the declared assets and income of the Rama family during 2025.
Declared assets
Edi Rama is the owner of a residential apartment in Tirana with a surface area of 59 m², acquired through privatization, with a revalued value of 5.4 million lek.
He also owns a 65 m² art studio in Tirana, inherited from his father, with a declared value of 2.5 million lekë.
The largest declared asset is the residential house in Surrel, where Rama is a 50% co-owner, while the rest belongs to the marital regime with his wife Lindita Rama. The value of its construction is declared at 39.6 million lekë.
But the declaration does not even state how many square meters he has. According to the declaration, Rama says that he is a 50% co-owner, with the other 50% being part of the marital regime with his wife Lindita Rama, a residential house with an undeclared area, one floor, with a construction value of 39,607,741 lekë, the location of the house in the village of Surrel, Dajt Municipality, property that is justified by a building permit document, at the time of the declaration without a title of ownership.
Furthermore, he declares that he has an unpaid obligation towards the building contractor of the “residential house in Surrel” worth – 12,056,241 lek, an obligation as part of the 50-50 marital regime with his wife.
Rama also declares a loan from a second-tier bank with an outstanding financial obligation of – 336,383 lekë, taken out on 12. 05. 2000 with a principal of 2.5 million lekë, a repayment term of 15 years, and a base interest rate of 3%.
He also declares “unpaid annual rent obligation for a residential apartment under the condition of payment once a year, the value of the obligation -573,280 lek, obligation as part of the 50-50 marital regime with his wife.”
Meanwhile, his wife Lindita Rama declares as personal property an apartment in Tirana with an area of 146.15 m², a veranda of 68 m² and a garage of 17 m², as well as arable land of 4,483.5 m² in Surrel.
Bank accounts and liabilities
Upon taking office as Prime Minister in September 2013, Edi Rama declared:
• 2 million lek in personal bank account;
• 988 thousand lek cash;
• unpaid loans worth approximately 336 thousand lekë;
• obligation to the builder of the house in Surrel of over 12 million lek;
• annual rent obligation of 573 thousand lek.
Wife Lindita Rama also declared a loan of 70 thousand euros given to third parties, as well as over 6.2 million lek in a bank account.

Income during 2020
According to the annual declaration, Edi Rama has benefited from:
• 1.77 million lek net income from salary as Prime Minister;
• 1.8 million lek from the sale of artistic works.
On the other hand, his wife Lindita Rama stated:
• 2.52 million lek in salary income;
• 2.49 million lek from consultancy and expertise;
• 2.53 million lek net income from apartment rental.
Meanwhile, son Gregor Rama has declared 25 thousand euros in income from the sale of works of art.
Declared expenses
During 2020, the following were declared:
• 4,482 euros in installment payments on a loan of 80 thousand euros taken out by Lindita Rama;
• 360 thousand lek rent payment from Gregor Rama.
