The Albanian Teachers’ Association in Greece announces the passing of its esteemed member, Junila Pëllumbi Lala, teacher of the supplementary Albanian language and culture course “Rreze drite”, Athens.

Her untimely departure has shocked our entire educational community. Junila will be remembered for her tireless dedication, professionalism, nobility and great love she showed in her mission to teach and preserve the Albanian language to children of the diaspora. With her work, she contributed to the education of new generations and the strengthening of the Albanian national identity far from the homeland.

As a colleague and member of our League, she enjoyed the respect and appreciation of all. Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of students, parents, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of knowing and collaborating with her.
