A serious incident has occurred in France, where a 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his 13-year-old brother and seriously injuring their mother. According to French media, investigators are verifying suspicions that the teenager may have slit the minor’s throat, causing his death, and then attacked the mother inside the family home.
The incident was recorded during the night between May 25 and 26. Following the alleged crime, the 16-year-old, who reportedly had a history of mental health problems, turned himself in to the police.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found the mother and her 13-year-old son in the bedroom. The minor did not survive his injuries, while the mother was taken to the hospital in critical condition with serious head injuries. According to police sources, a knife and a hammer were also found in the apartment, which are suspected to have been used in the attack.
