The Special Court has issued a notice regarding the final decision expected to be taken by the trial panel in the case of the former KLA leaders.
The notice states that the panel of judges has requested an additional 60 days due to the large volume of the case and the complexity of the case.
“On May 5, the Trial Panel issued an order extending the deadline for the judicial decision in this case, due to the volume of evidence and the complexity of the proceedings. The order extends the deadline for the announcement of the judicial decision by 60 days. The public will be informed after the Trial Panel has set a specific date for the announcement of the decision,” the Hague notice states.
However, it is not excluded that the trial panel, with another decision, will again extend the time for making the final decision.
