After a video that went viral years ago, showing him punching the window of a moving car, the owner of the bar in Porto Palermo, known as Mihali, has broken his silence. In an exclusive interview for the show Kafe Shqeto on Syri TV, he gave his version of the incident, severely accusing state institutions and using harsh language towards Spanish tourists and the prime minister.
He claims that he was imprisoned “on orders from above” and that his action to break the window came after he was in danger of being killed by a car that was moving without stopping. According to his account, instead of stopping, the tourists insulted him and encouraged the driver to continue, hiding behind their cell phones to film.
In his furious testimony, he reveals that the bar was one of the best in the country, frequented by billionaires, celebrities and the prime minister’s own family. He highlights the paradox of how those who once ate and were served “organic” products and were treated with the utmost respect, turned into the destroyers of his family.
In addition to the demolition of the bar, he also accuses the justice system, stating that the court sentenced him much more than the prosecutor requested, just because the judges wanted to go through the Vetting process. During the interview, he directly addresses the head of government in very serious tones and offensive terms, describing him as an unchanging man and an ordinary liar who leads a “gang of thieves.”
Flavio Qarri: There was a video. You went to the police. What happened next?
Mihal Kokëdhima: They took me, they imprisoned me for hours, he imprisoned me. They imprisoned me on his orders.
Flavio Qarri: But on what charge?
Mihal Kokëdhima: I destroyed property, you broke the car window. I should caress the window, you understand? I told you, you’re doing me a favor, you’re putting me in danger.
Flavio Qarri: I broke the glass.
Mihal Kokëdhima: Imagine what a scandal they are making.
Flavio Qarri: What happened to your bar?
Mihal Kokëdhima: The bar was destroyed by criminals, because those people who have no blood have neither blood nor soul.
Flavio Qarri: Why did they destroy it?
Mihal Kokëdhima: They destroyed everything, they destroyed it because it was probably without permission. But I had been doing business there for about 15, 20 years. They destroyed it, they destroyed it because they wanted to destroy it. Not because it was in their way, but because they wanted to destroy it.
Flavio Qarri: Were you on your property there?
Mihal Kokëdhima: Yes, of course, on my property, I have been from Qeparo for 2000 years, my brother, for 2000 years. I did not come there, I worked in my country like every Albanian. And while tourism… that I did, everyone came and they, along with the other beneficiaries, came and ate and drank there.
Flavio Qarri: He said we didn’t like it…
Mihal Kokëdhima: And they were walking.
Flavio Qarri: He said we didn’t like Mihal’s tourism.
Mihal Kokëdhima: Why did he come? Why did he come there, drink with the other profiteers, sir?
Flavio Qarri: Not with this language
Mihal Kokëdhima: To tell you the truth, I always speak. Why didn’t you let me thank you for tourism? I haven’t done anything to anyone in this world. I haven’t touched a single leaf, a single leaf. How is it possible to take over a state? That it’s not a state of hours, these are a bunch of thieves, even criminals, this is not a state that a state cares about its own people. They’re not a state, brother. They’re a bunch of thieves.
All these people are doing evil things. There is no mother to judge them. We are blind. Even the blind see what he does.
Flavio Qarri: Now Mihal, listen to me. You sent us a photo.
Mihal Kokëdhima: Yes, of course, months ago I was with the gentleman. I respected him, of course. I took him on a boat ride and ate and drank with his mistress there and here it is… He ruined my life, Flavio. If you work for 25 years in your country, you shed all the blood and sweat of your entire family and the complete destruction of my family. He killed an entire family, Flavio.

Flavio Qarri: Did they destroy your bar in accordance with the law?
Mihal Kokëdhima: Not even Hitler! Not even Hitler did that… not even Hitler did what that man did! To gather an entire country… But why, brother, what did I do? You say yes, you did this, you touched a man with your hand. You put it in front of me, that much, what you said, what the news reported, they filmed those filth, those garbage. With me in front… Instead of telling him to stop because you have a man in front of you because you don’t love me like a dog… let alone a man…
Flavio Qarri: Were they Rama’s friends, I remember from history?
Mihal Kokëdhima: Yes, let them be friends, but when they came to the inn and drank there, was I good?
Flavio Qarri: Let’s look at this picture together, Mihal. What is this picture?
Mihal Kokëdhima: Yes, that’s a photo of that son of a bitch, who I served like any citizen, and he asked me to take him on a boat ride, and I did it, and I did it with his girlfriend there.
Flavio Qarri: No no…
Mihal Kokëdhima: All of them, what could I do to them, brother? What wrong have I done to them? Why? An Albanian who says, brother, what he did to me, has lied to me once in his life. But he is not a man, Flavio, he is not a man, sir. He is not a man, he does not change.
Flavio Qarri: Mihal, please, if you have had so much acquaintance, have been so close, have even visited the prime minister’s family, how do you feel when he says…
Mihal Kokëdhima: My tourists would come, everyone would come there, not just him, everyone would come there, everyone. If it were so bad, sir, why would they come, sir? Let me go bankrupt, no one would come. But my restaurant was the best in the world! Because I did everything myself, organic. And the cleanliness that was there is incomparable to any other place. Not in Albania, no, not in any country in Europe, because they shape it. Billionaires from all over the world would come, my heart, and they would say it was the best lunch in my life. You know that word.
Flavio Qarri: Mihal, what happened, how much prison time did you spend?
Mihal Kokëdhima: One year in prison. The judge sentenced me to three times more than the prosecutor requested because they wanted to pass the vetting process.
That man doesn’t change. We say one word here that doesn’t make shit pie.
Flavio Qarri: Ok.
Mihal Koewkdhima: You know this word. That person doesn’t change. And even if he wants to change, he can’t.
Flavio Qarri: What would you say to the prime minister today about tourism, or I don’t know, a message of yours.
Mihal Kokëdhima: What can I say to him, he is a liar of the most ordinary kind. In Europe, no one likes him…
