Another heated debate has erupted on social media among doctors.
After Skënder Brataj’s reaction, doctor Erion Dasho also clashed with cardiologist Edvin Prifti.
The debate comes after the return of international discussions on the management of the Covid-19 pandemic and the role of Anthony Fauci, who refused to testify in the US Congress.
The spark for the clash was a status by Erion Dasho, who harshly criticized doctors who, during the pandemic, opposed official policies and promoted theories that, according to him, were not supported by scientific evidence. Dasho argued that there had been no “martyr doctors,” but professionals who spread claims dangerous to public health.
“Conspiracy doctors spread ideas that compromised patient safety and put the lives of millions of citizens at risk,” he wrote, adding that restricting these messages was not censorship, but an obligation to protect public health.
Dasho’s statements brought a reaction from Edvin Prifti, who responded with a long status and direct accusations.
“It turns out that you are now one of the spokesmen for the world’s largest conspiracy,” Prifti writes, accusing his colleague of siding with Anthony Fauci and the institutions that, according to him, covered up the truth about the pandemic.
Prifti rejects the labeling of critical doctors as “conspiracy theorists,” claiming that they raised questions based on scientific arguments and were attacked precisely because they challenged the official narrative. He states that thousands of doctors around the world have denounced the way the pandemic was managed and accuses Dashon of trying to denigrate those who defended different positions.
Dasho responded by clarifying that his status did not have Edvin Prifti as a personal object, but the phenomenon of the spread of theories that he considers unfounded, such as claims that doctors have been eliminated or killed because of their stances on Covid-19.
In his reply, Dasho said that he continues to value Prifti as a cardiac surgeon, but does not share the same beliefs about the theories he promotes. He added that citizens have the right to hear the position supported by the majority of the scientific community and invited his colleague to a public debate on these issues.
Edvin Prifti reacted again, calling Dasho’s response an attempt to justify his status. He declared that he would not allow, in his words, “the truths he defends to be trampled upon” and insisted that he would not back down from his beliefs, regardless of the consequences.

Clarification: this status does not target certain Albanian doctors who promote theories not yet scientifically accepted regarding COVID-19, despite partial similarities.
For years, the myth has been circulating that during the COVID pandemic, doctors who stood up against the “establishment” were persecuted, and some of them were even eliminated under suspicious circumstances.
As in previous posts, I willingly leave the analysis of the “murders”, “disappearances”, “kidnappings”, or “plane crashes” in which the so-called “anti-establishment” doctors were traveling to the professional conspiracy theorists.
The status aims to analyze the real contribution of the doctors who sided with the conspiracists from my perspective, as well as to confront the real facts with the alleged ones.
Let your colleagues in the blue and white shirts and the public judge.
While the vast majority of the world’s approximately 15 million doctors agreed with the protective measures during the pandemic and implemented them, there were also doctors who opposed them.
This is normal!
Science proceeds not only based on facts and evidence, but also on scientific debate and hypotheses. Not everyone can agree on everything.
But a clear distinction must be made!
On the one hand, there were doctors who opposed based on widely accepted knowledge and facts, demanding improved protocols, a review of measures, and more scientific transparency. They did this in forums and institutions, where the debate remained within the walls of medical science and was not offered in sensational form to the general public, which had neither the education nor the experience to judge the alternatives.
On the other hand, there was a category of doctors who raised the banner of “truth” by relying on knowledge and facts on which medical science has not yet placed its stamp of acceptability.
The views of these colleagues, professionals, and medical scientific institutions often described them as untrue, unfounded, and, in many cases, dangerous to patients.
Instead of continuing the discussion in the relevant forums, some of these doctors chose to address the general public directly, causing debate, confusion and, not infrequently, even panic.
Society of course reacted to block these communications and this is where the myth of the “persecuted martyrs” began!
As soon as a doctor found no place in medical forums, in serious media, or when other professionals publicly refuted the claims he or she made, the same story began:
“They’re stopping me!”
“They’re censoring me!”
“They are attacking me because I am telling the truth!”
In fact, it was not about persecution, but about the basic duty of a health system.
All over the world, institutions have a duty to stop the spread of dangerous information, especially when it harms the health of citizens and the safety of patients!
Not giving a microphone to someone who claims the earth is flat is not censorship, but a logical act. Likewise, not giving a microphone to a doctor who promotes dangerous treatments or opposes beneficial treatments is not persecution, but protection of the health and life of citizens.
The more professionals criticized them for the lack of proof and evidence, the more the myth of “martyr” doctors as fighters against the establishment was fueled, creating a truly vicious circle!
The truth is very simple!
No one was persecuted for scientifically based opinions!
Conspiracy doctors were opposed because, in the name of freedom of speech, they spread ideas that violated patient safety and put the lives of millions of citizens at risk!
Medical and non-medical authorities reacted as they should, protecting citizens!
This is neither censorship nor a war against the truth! On the contrary, it is the protection of life and health!
The terms “martyrs”, “heroes of truth”, “victims of the system”, etc. are propaganda creations that have no connection to real science.
During the pandemic, two worlds within science collided, among other things, the world of evidence and the world of pseudo-evidence. The world of truth and the world of fabrications, sick fantasies, often exaggerated to the point of grotesque!
Science does not need false martyrs. Medical science has its own consolidated mechanisms for evaluating fact, proof, methodology, evidence, and responsibility to the patient, health, and life!
For others, there are plenty of social networks and there the “martyr” doctors can continue to shine!

Erion in the light of the sun and the facts and science where I don’t see that you have dealt with it except for discussions on WHO statistics, it turns out that you are now one of the spokesmen for the biggest global conspiracy and this is very unfortunate. There has been no conspiracy theory but there are over 80,000 certified doctors around the world who have unmasked and continue to unmask the masquerade of the biggest conspiracy against humanity. You have apparently decided to be on the side of the conspiracy and global conspiracy of the Fauci and Epstein group!
First of all, you’re lying when you say that society blocked these doctors, when today only their voices are heard.
They lie by saying that the “conspiracy” doctors were opposed. They did not object at any point that you had arguments other than the statements of the WHO, the US and the US. The only thing they were told when they debated with arguments and facts was that you were conspiracists, just like you do today in 2026 in a more anachronistic way to denigrate and glorify them in the eyes of the public. But you forget that human society, no matter how ignorant, is a very good observer.
You say that your status requires analysis, while your status is a rant with your opinions and no arguments.
You think you’ve ever discussed it with arguments? I never get it! Except for discussions about WHO figures and figures given by the Albanian government.
No doctor like you, a true conspiracy theorist, has discussed any element of covid19, you simply reflected the WHO. Your choice! But science at all! When Roberto Mallone, the inventor of the mRNA vaccine, spoke and declared gene therapy and its negativity, you did not mention it once, when Peter MC Cullough spoke, you did not even know his name, etc. etc. This is your science, Erion.
You say that these doctors should discuss in the relevant forums. They did, but in conclusion, who should they discuss with, with the allies of the conspiracy and the crime that was happening. Have you seen any intellectual discuss with the Hitlerites about not exterminating 6 million Jews? It didn’t happen! Well, how could it happen!

Although I have respected you for being one of the few Albanians who has a scientific contribution mainly in telemedicine, but with no article as the first author, I believe that the comparison is not worth it. It is not arrogance but let’s say things as they are or not since you chose the path of cynicism towards the dead and the persecuted!
