The release of protesters arrested following tensions and police violence against citizens on Thursday continues.
Among the released persons is activist Gent Progni.
He was welcomed by family and citizens with applause as they shouted: Victory!
The Tirana Court announced today the verdict for 19 protesters who were arrested after clashing with police at the July 2 rally.
Protesters Everest Bardh and Ervin Gega were placed under house arrest, despite the prosecution requesting prison time for them, arguing that they had committed acts of violence by destroying a police car.

Meanwhile, Altin Hila, the father who became a symbol of the protest, was released after appearing with his sick child, even though the prosecutor initially requested prison, and later softened his stance by requesting house arrest.
12 protesters were placed under arrest, while 5 others were released without bail.
