After this, within 7 days, the price of diesel increased by 8 lek per liter, reaching the level of 206 lek per liter. While the price of gasoline remained unchanged, continuing to be traded at 189 lek per liter.
The rebound in oil prices was influenced by the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, which led to a significant increase in oil prices on foreign stock exchanges.
The escalation of attacks has led to renewed blockades of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, through which three-fifths of world oil passes. During this period, the price of Brent crude oil peaked on July 23, reaching the level of 100 USD per barrel.
