The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused the government of exerting pressure on its representatives regarding the positions they hold on social networks towards the civic youth movement that protests every day.
During a press conference, Berisha declared that within the majority camp, what he ironically described as the “Balla Commission” has been created. According to the DP leader, this structure is monitoring the posts of executive officials to identify those who have not made statuses against the youth movement.
The opposition leader claimed that the first victim of this control will be Niko Peleshi, who according to him has been considered by Taulant Balla as a “sly” due to the lack of reactions against the protesters:
“Panic, terror, fear in the government camp. The Balla commission is being created, it is the commission that is checking the statuses on the nomenklatura’s social media to identify those who have not made statuses against the civic youth movement. The first victim of the Balla commission will be Niko Peleshi, who according to Balla has shown himself gullible towards the civic youth movement and has no statuses in his media against them.”
Further, Berisha stated that Pelesh is expected to be quickly replaced by Balla, while warning that within the majority there will be other figures who will be hit by this control structure.
