New details have come to light about the movements of 48-year-old Altin Allmuça before he killed his 45-year-old compatriot in Nea Smyrni and then ended his life.
According to information, before leaving the apartment, he left his wife 1,000 euros, telling her: “Keep it so you have money.” He then went to Nea Smyrni, where he shot the 45-year-old woman to death and immediately after the crime committed suicide.
The 48-year-old’s wife, called to testify, stated that for about 18 months she had noticed a significant change in his behavior. According to her, he was often absent from home and there were nights when he slept somewhere else, while she did not know where he was staying or if he had another relationship.
The woman is reported to have told authorities that she was afraid of him. The 45-year-old, according to her sister’s testimony, also told them that she had decided to end her relationship with the 48-year-old due to jealousy and that she was afraid of his persistence.
Investigators are analyzing security camera footage that recorded the crime. According to preliminary information, the 48-year-old man waited for the 45-year-old woman outside the apartment and, as soon as she came out, shot her, before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities are also examining his electronic devices, as well as his past in Albania, where he was reportedly arrested in Tirana in 2016 on charges of raping his wife.
