Ecuadorian authorities have arrested a person, identified as Pablo Adrian HT, known by the nickname “Caballo”, who was suspected of being linked to the Albanian criminal network led by Dritan Gjika, arrested last year in the United Arab Emirates.
According to authorities, “Caballo” allegedly acted as the group’s financial operator and was involved in managing the financial activities of the structure that dealt with the trafficking of large quantities of cocaine to Europe.
The arrest was carried out during a raid on a property in the area of the intersection of Avenida Sigchos with Calaví Street, in the canton of La Maná.
Pablo Adrian HT is also being investigated on suspicion of money laundering and organized crime. Ecuadorian authorities are continuing their investigations to clarify his role and possible links to the criminal structure./Top Channel
